Can you make money making AI jingles for brands?

We investigated the business of selling AI-made jingles to small businesses: how much a traditional jingle costs versus one made with Suno or Udio, why we found no verified real-earnings case for this specific business, and the legal risk that sets it apart from the rest of this series.

Can you make money making AI jingles for brands?

After the AI avatar live streaming format, we switch business models entirely: instead of monetizing audience and views, this is about selling a B2B service — AI-made jingles for brands and small businesses. It's the only format in this whole cluster that doesn't depend on RPM, subscribers, or any platform algorithm.

What this business is (unlike everything else in the cluster)

Tools like Suno, in Custom mode, let you generate a jingle or brand theme with the product name baked directly into the lyrics — something that used to require hiring a composer. The result gets sold as a service to small businesses that need a jingle for radio, social media, or their storefront, skipping a traditional production house entirely.

How much a jingle costs: traditional vs. freelance vs. AI

The price gap is enormous. A traditionally produced jingle (composer, singers, professional mixing) costs between USD 500 and 10,000+, with corporate anthems starting at USD 500 and full TV rights buyouts running USD 2,000-10,000+ depending on airtime. On freelance platforms like Fiverr, a 30-second jingle runs USD 100-300 (the most basic ones, USD 20-50). Generating the track with Suno or Udio costs, in practice, cents per song within an USD 8-30/month plan (thousands of credits included) — a production cost reduction of over 99.9% versus a traditional composer.

The data gap worth stating honestly

Unlike cases such as Adavia Davis (faceless channels) or Neuro-sama (AI avatars), we found no verified case of anyone earning money specifically selling AI-made jingles to brands. The closest thing that exists is general figures from freelancers offering AI-automation services to small businesses (USD 2,000-5,000/month in recurring retainers by month 12, up to USD 5,000-15,000/month for established solo operators) — but those figures are for AI services in general, not jingles specifically, and shouldn't be treated as equivalent.

The legal risk no other article in this series had: the jingle may not be exclusive

Here's the same legal limitation we already saw in the AI music on Spotify article: the US Copyright Office holds that content generated purely by AI lacks the human authorship required for copyright. Applied to this business, that means something serious for the client: if a brand jingle is purely AI-generated, a competitor could copy it exactly with no legal exposure — what the brand paid for as supposedly exclusive ends up free for anyone to take. Selling the service as "an exclusive jingle for your brand" without disclosing this is, in practice, a promise that can't legally hold up unless there's substantial human intervention in the final composition.

Tools

  • Suno (Custom mode): the most-used option for lyrics with the brand/product name included, plans from USD 8-10/month.
  • Udio: better for clean instrumental production (background themes, webinars, product demos), plans from USD 10/month.

So, is it worth it?

It's a real business with a low entry cost and a very high margin compared to the traditional model, but with no verified earnings case to use as a reference — unlike the rest of this cluster. It's worth selling as a fast, affordable production service, not as exclusive intellectual property: promising legal exclusivity over a 100% AI-generated jingle is a risk the client may eventually discover.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an AI jingle cost compared to a traditional one?+

A traditional jingle costs between USD 500 and 10,000+ (composer, singers, professional mixing). On Fiverr, a freelance jingle runs USD 100-300. Generating the track with Suno or Udio costs cents per song within an USD 8-30/month plan — over a 99.9% reduction versus a traditional composer.

Is there a verified case of anyone earning money selling AI jingles to brands?+

We found no specific verified case for this business. The closest thing is general figures from freelancers offering AI-automation services to small businesses (USD 2,000-15,000/month), but those aren't equivalent to a jingle business.

Is an AI-made jingle legally exclusive to the brand that buys it?+

Not necessarily. The US Copyright Office holds that purely AI-generated content lacks human authorship, so a competitor could copy a 100% AI jingle with no legal exposure, unless there's substantial human intervention in the final composition.
